Clean energy for California corrections

Foundation Windpower installed a 1.79 MW wind turbine at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Los Angeles County facility in Lancaster, CA. The project delivers 5,400 MWh of clean electricity annually — offsetting the equivalent of 4,430 tons of carbon and 10,000 barrels of oil each year.

Located in the high desert of the Antelope Valley, the Lancaster facility benefits from consistent wind resources that make on-site generation a reliable, cost-effective solution for reducing the state's energy expenditure and carbon footprint across its corrections infrastructure.
